Built to Order: How SP Performance Rotors Ship

You found the right rotors. Now you want to know when they will show up. Here is exactly how our orders move, from the moment you check out to the moment a tracking number lands in your inbox, with nothing hidden in the cart.

The short answer: SP Performance rotors are built to order and ship from Indiana within four business days as a general guideline. Brake pads ship from Virginia within one business day. Shipping is free on all U.S. orders, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Rotors and pads may arrive separately.

What Does Built to Order Mean?

Built to order means your rotors are prepared for your order instead of being pulled from a pile of finished stock. Our specialty is the performance drilled and slotted rotors we machine in the USA, and building to order is how we offer seven surfaces and four zinc finishes across a wide range of vehicles.

The trade-off is time. A built-to-order part takes a little longer to leave the building than a part that sits on a shelf. It is also why we can tell you exactly where your rotors ship from and how long processing takes. We would rather tell you that up front than promise a speed we cannot keep.

How Long Do Built-to-Order Rotors Take to Ship?

SP Performance brake rotors ship from Indiana within four business days as a general guideline. Business days run Monday to Friday, so weekends do not count toward the four.

Four business days is a processing guideline, not a guaranteed delivery date. It covers the time from your order to the moment the rotors leave us. Once a package is with the carrier, the carrier sets the delivery time, and SP Performance is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other events outside our control.

How Fast Do Brake Pads Ship?

Brake pads ship from Virginia within one business day. Like the rotor timeline, that is a general guideline for processing, not a delivery date.

If you order rotors and pads together, they leave from two different places on two different timelines. That is the reason for the next section.

Brake pads Virginia One business day

Why Do Rotors and Pads Arrive Separately?

Rotors and pads ship from different locations: rotors from Indiana, pads from Virginia. An order with both may arrive in separate packages, on different days, with separate tracking numbers.

Nothing is missing when one box shows up alone. Check your order emails for both tracking numbers, and hold the install until every part is in hand. Fitting new pads on old rotors, or new rotors on old pads, while you wait is not worth it. New pads on new rotors is the right start.

Where Does SP Performance Ship?

Shipping is free on all U.S. orders, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. We ship to U.S. addresses only. We do not ship to APO or FPO addresses, PO boxes, or international destinations, so use a street address at checkout to keep your order moving.

Free shipping applies to every U.S. order, with no minimum to qualify. Risk of loss passes to you when your order is delivered to the carrier, so make sure the shipping address is complete and correct.

Need Your Rotors Sooner?

If your project has a deadline, contact us before you order. Our team will review your options for expedited handling. Call 833-456-9747 or email info@sp-performance.com, 8AM to 4PM EST, Monday to Friday.

What to Do When Your Rotors Arrive

Open the box and check each rotor against its position on your vehicle. Front and rear rotors are different parts with different specs. If something looks wrong, report a suspected defect within 72 hours. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase with a 20% restocking fee, and our warranty guide explains the difference between a return and a claim.

Then install it right. Clean the hub, measure runout, verify minimum thickness, torque in a star pattern to spec, and bed the pads in. The full sequence is in our brake rotor installation checklist. Still choosing a surface? Browse our Drilled & Slotted rotors or read how each rotor surface works.
